Booking Terms and Conditions

These general conditions, together with the registration form, comprise the contract between the client and Run by Singers Limited (The Company). 

Cancellation

Run by Singers Limited must be notified in writing of all cancellations. If you wish to cancel after confirmation of the booking has already been sent,  you the following charges will apply: up to 60 days notice before start date - loss of deposit; 60-31 days before start date 25% of total cost; 30-21 days before start date 50% of total cost; 20-10 days before start date 75% of total cost. No refunds can be made if you cancel later than this date or leave the course after its commencement. 

Run by Singers Limited reserves the right to cancel a course up to eight weeks before it is due to start if numbers enrolled have not reached the minimum number required. (Please note: Run by Singers has never yet cancelled a course for this reason) In this case you will be enitled to a full refund.


Our Liabilities to you

i) We promise to make sure that the tour arrangements we have agreed to make, perform or provide as applicable as part of our contract with you are made, performed or provided with reasonable skill and care. This means that, subject to our booking conditions, we will accept responsibility if, for example, you suffer death or personal injury or your contracted tour arrangements are not provided as promised or prove deficient as a result of the failure of ourselves, our employees, agents or suppliers to use reasonable skill and care in making, performing or providing, as applicable, your contracted tour arrangements.

ii) We will not be responsible for any injury, illness, death, loss (including loss of possessions or enjoyment), damage, expense, cost or other sum or claim of any description whatsoever which results from any of the following: - the act(s) and/or omission(s) of the person(s) affected; or - the act(s) and/or omission(s) of a third party not connected with the provision of your holiday and which were unforeseeable or unavoidable; or – unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances as defined in clause 8 above.

iii) We cannot accept responsibility for any services which do not form part of our contract. This includes, for example, any additional services, activities or facilities which your hotel or any other supplier agrees to provide for you where the services, activities or facilities are not advertised by us as forming part of your tour and we have not agreed to arrange them as part of our contract and any excursion, activities or other services you purchase during your tour. In addition, regardless of any wording used by us in any quotation, confirmation, advertising or elsewhere, we only promise to use reasonable skill and care as set out above and we do not have any greater or different liability to you.

Financial Protection

The Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited (ABTOT) provides financial protection under The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 for Runbysingers (Membership Number 5471) and in the event of our insolvency, protection is provided for Non-flight packages
 
ABTOT cover provides for a refund in the event you have not yet travelled or repatriation if transportation was included in your package.  Please note that bookings made outside the UK are only protected by ABTOT when purchased directly with Runbysingers. 
 
In the unlikely event that you require assistance whilst abroad due to our financial failure, please call the 24/7 helpline on 01702 811397 and advise you are a customer of an ABTOT protected travel company.

Special requests and medical problems

If you have any special requests such as diet, room location, a particular facility at a hotel etc, you must advise us at the time of booking. Although we will endeavour to pass any reasonable requests on to the relevant supplier, we regret we cannot promise that any request will be met unless we have specifically confirmed this in writing. Confirmation that a special request has been noted or passed onto the supplier or the inclusion of the request on your Booking Confirmation and Invoice or any other documentation is not confirmation that the request will be met. Unless and until specifically confirmed, all special requests are subject to availability. 

If you have any medical condition or disability which may affect your holiday or any special requirements as a result of any medical condition or disability (including any which affect the booking process), please tell us before you confirm your booking so that we can assist you in considering the suitability of the arrangements and/or making the booking.  In any event, you must give us full details in writing at the time of booking and whenever any change in the condition or disability occurs. You must also promptly advise us if any medical condition or disability which may affect your holiday develops after your booking has been confirmed.


Unacceptable Behaviour

We expect all participants  to have consideration for other people. If in our reasonable opinion or in the reasonable opinion of any other person in authority, you or any member of your party behaves in such a way as to cause or be likely to cause danger, upset or distress to any third party or damage to property, we are entitled, without prior notice, to immediately terminate the inclusion of the person(s) concerned. In this situation, the person(s) concerned will be required to leave the accommodation or other service. We will have no further responsibility toward such person(s) including any return travel arrangements. No refunds will be made and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination. You and/or your party may also be required to pay for loss and/or damage caused by your actions and we will hold you and each member of your party jointly and individually liable for any damage or losses caused by you or any member of your party. Full payment for any such damage or losses must be paid directly to the hotel manager or other supplier prior to departure from the hotel. If you fail to make payment, you will be responsible for meeting any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made against us as a result of your actions together with all costs we incur in pursuing any claim against you.


Photography

Participants in our Summer Schools may be be recorded or photographed by Run by Singers or its representatives and these images may be used by The Company in its promotional and publicity material. By submitting an application, you are giving your consent for any such images or recordings to be used freely and without payment. 


Video and sound Recordings

From time to time official professional recordings may be made of concerts by The Company or its representatives. Subject to the agreement of the course Musical director, these may be made available to course participants as souvenirs. Video and sound recordings other than these are not permitted during concerts and rehearsals although participants are welcome to take still photographs if they wish. 


Amendments

We reserve the right to change details of the advertised programme where this is unavoidable. 


Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
